Endometriosis

Endometriosis is a surgical diagnosis of abnormal implantation of the endometrial lining that should shed out every month and instead flows backward into the abdominal cavity and sticks to the abdominal organs. If the endometrial lining sticks to the ovary it is called an endometrioma. Studies have shown that endometriosis and endometriomas can affect uterine quality and egg quality.
